Information we collect
When you join the Travel Squad, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, experience interests, consent choice, and signup date. When you reserve a trip, TravelJoy processes the information you submit on its platform under its own privacy practices.
How we use it
- Send trip announcements, early-booking opportunities, rider perks, and relevant business updates.
- Understand which experiences interest our community.
- Respond to questions and administer reservations.
- Protect the website and comply with legal obligations.
How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. We may use trusted service providers for website hosting, email delivery, reservations, and related business operations. They receive only the information needed to provide those services.
Website activity
We record limited first-party activity totals, such as page views, booking-link clicks, form completions, and review-link clicks, to understand whether the website is useful. These records do not include advertising profiles or the content of your browsing outside this website.
Trip voting
You may vote or suggest a trip without providing your name or email. To reduce repeated automated submissions, the site creates a one-way technical fingerprint from limited request and device information and temporarily uses it to recognize recent submissions. If you request a future-trip alert, we store the email address you voluntarily provide with that interest.
Email choices and retention
You may unsubscribe from promotional email at any time or ask us to update or delete your Travel Squad information. We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here and applicable recordkeeping requirements.
Photography and video
Photos or video may be captured during hosted experiences for recap and promotional purposes. We will communicate when event photography is planned. Contact us before an experience if you need a reasonable privacy accommodation.
Children
The Travel Squad form is intended for adults. We do not knowingly use it to collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
